Fancy seeing you here!
Thanks for dropping by! My name is Matisse, I’m a Boston and St. Louis-based theatre performer.
This May, I’ll be graduating from the Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University, at which time I’ll be obtaining a BFA in Acting, a minor in French, and a certificate from the Gleich Honors College.
Within the theatre, I strive to…
provoke thoughtful conversation.
make people feel seen and understood.
amplify the voices and stories that need hearing.
After living in Boston for a few years, I moved to the suburbs to study in one of the nation’s twelve French Immersion Programs found in public schools. Through that program I found a love for the language, which has transformed during my time at university into a love of and ear for dialect work.
The doors French has opened for me has also inspired me to continue studying additional language: I’m currently working on German and can boast a 575 day learning streak!
When I’m not in the rehearsal hall,
you’re most likely to find me listening to true crime podcasts, bullet journaling, or enjoying a bubble tea (or maybe all three at once if I’m feeling crazy!)
A glimpse into my life:
